Question 1

Posted: 9/29/2023

Question: Qualified Discount Rider Can you clarify who sets the rates for the QDRs The RFP states that: • The County will set rates for the Qualified Discount Rider and negotiate a rate to be paid to the Contractor. • The Contractor may set the rates charged to the QDR … How often will credentials for QDRs be invalidated? Parking • What is the maximum distance the county will consider for the interim park & ride system? • What is the total number of parking spaces that will be available? • Will the county be charging for parking? o If so, is the Contractor responsible for validating that the parking fees have been paid? Embarkation Site • What is the maximum distance from the current embarkation site that will be considered for the new embarkation site? • What is the plan if the new embarkation site is not available by the start of this contract? • Will boat fuel be available at the embarkation site? • Is it the Contractor’s responsibility to clean the embarkation/debarkation facilities including restrooms? Ferry Schedule and Capacity • Are there guidelines as to the amount of freight that must be accommodated for a singular ride? • Any guidelines as to the size and type of freight that must be transported? • Are there any requirements regarding number of trips/day or departure time? Termination for Convenience: If the county chooses to terminate the contract for convenience, how much lead time would the Contractor be given prior to the termination? • The County may without cause terminate this contract in whole or in part at any time for its convenience. Can the Contractor terminate this contract for convenience?

Response: Please see Addendum 1 which will answer your questions above.
