Description:
*The Peach County Board of Commissioners will be accepting Sealed Qualifications Statements pertaining to design and construction management of improvements to the County Health Department building to be funded through state and local funds including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
*Closing date for Sealed Bids responding to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No.
20-009 shall be July 14, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. local time. Qualification Statements received after this date and time or at any other location will not be considered. Qualification Statements will be opened in public on July 14, 2020 at 2:45 p.m. local
time, at the Peach County Board of Commissioner’s Office, 213 Persons Street, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
*Section 3-This is a Section 3 contract opportunity. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. This project must ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by CDBG funds shall, to the greatest extent feasible, and consistent with federal, state and local laws and regulations, be directed toward low and very low-income persons, particularly those who are recipients of government funding for housing, and to business concerns which provide economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons in coordination with the Section 3 *Fair Housing-This project must affirmatively further fair housing and steps must be taken to analyze
impediments to fair housing choice in Peach County and take steps to overcome any
identified impediments in efforts to promote fair housing for Peach County residents.
*Section 504
This project must ensure that no qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination of any such entity as prescribed by law in the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 794, as amended.
*A pre-submittal meeting will be conducted July 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Peach County Board of Commissioners Office conference room located at 213 Persons Street Fort Valley, GA 31030. Attendance at the pre-submittal meeting is not required to submit a qualification statement but is highly recommended.
