Description:

This bid is a secondary and supplemental request, seeking additional responses from highly qualified pupil transportation contractors to furnish AS-NEED, no minimum, no maximum charter bus services for Torrance Unified School District’s K-12 students.

The Bidder is expected to cooperate and coordinate fully with District staff so that work under this contract may be carried out without disrupting the educational process (as determined by the District), without any additional costs to the District.

Liquidated damages are applicable. A MANDATORY Bidder’s Conference is scheduled for October 5, 2018, at 9:00 A.M. Sharp at the Purchasing Department located in the long grey building at 2334 Plaza Del Amo, Torrance, CA 90501.  This ONE-TIME ONLY MANDATORY IN-PERSON CONFERENCE requires attendance and failure to attend and sign-in will render a Bid to be non-responsive and bid will be returned unopened.  Allocate extra time due to parking restrictions in the area.

If you previously participated in RFP No. 01-08.30.18 Pupil Transportation Services that closed on August 30th, you do not need to respond. This is a secondary request.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: Please sign up if you plan to attend the pre-solicitation meeting.The District will conduct a ONE-TIME ONLY MANDATORY IN-PERSON CONFERENCE to be held at the location, date and time stated above. Failure to attend and sign-in will render such Bid to be non-responsive. Any Contractor bidding on the project who fails to attend the entire mandatory conference will be deemed a non-responsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. Allocate extra time due to parking restrictions in the area.
