Question 1

Question: Hello, I have a couple of questions pertaining to RFP #0826-2024 for the Work Boot Program. 1.) Is the value of each pair of boots to exceed or not to exceed $175? Within the "Scope of Work" section, the initial sentence states "to exceed", whereas in the bullet points below that it says "not to exceed". 2.) Are the prices to remain firm for the entirety of the contract, including subsequent renewals? Or is the price to remain firm during only the fixed term of one year with eligibility for some adjustment in the renewal years? Thank you in advance for your assistance! Kind regards, Chelsea Allen HAIX North America

Response: The not-to-exceed amount is the amount the City will pay. If the boots exceed $175 the employee must pay the difference. The prices of the boots may be adjusted based on market value, but the City's contribution will not increase.
