PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 Work of this Contract covers the following construction at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary

School at 1301 Nicklaus Dr. SE in Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124. The scope of work includes,

but is not limited to, the following as identified on the Contract Documents:

 The base bid consists of renovation and replacement of HVAC systems, including the existing

boiler system. Patching of the existing TPO roofing as required at replaced equipment.

Replacement of ceilings, light fixtures, and wall base in hallways and corridors. Replacement of

existing light fixtures with new dimmer switches in hallways, classrooms, and various rooms.

Selective removal and replacement of existing tile from classrooms. Removal and replacement of existing VCT in hallways and corridors with new resilient flooring.

 ADDITIVE ALTERNATE NO. 1

Patch and polish existing concrete in hallways and corridors in place of new resilient flooring.

 ADDITIVE ALTERNATE NO. 2

Full acoustical ceiling replacement in classrooms and various other rooms. Refer to drawings.

ADDITIVE ALTERNATE NO. 3

Remove and replace floor tile in Physical Education Room 149.

 ADDITIVE ALTERNATE NO. 4

Install a bi-polar ionization system in each existing RTU to remain.

This project does not require LEED certification. References to LEED throughout this RFP are

not applicable to this project.
