Description: The City of Woodstock, Georgia, herein referred to as the City, is accepting bids from qualified
contractors for the purpose of removing installing new stormwater infrastructure at three City
streets: Falcon Court, Marion Way, and Washington Ave, hereinafter referred to as the
“Project”. This work includes but is not limited to removing existing piping, installing RCP &
CMP pipe, installing curb and gutter, asphalt repairs, sidewalk, headwalls and additional
manholes.

Question: Re: Washington Ave & Arnold Mill: 1. Removal of 18" CMP across Washington Ave is included in Grading Complete, what is the line item for reconstruction of the trench. Re: Marion Way: 1. What are line Items: 500-3800 & 500-3900 used for? 2. Since there is no survey, can we have an underground utility plan at this location such as GIS map? 3. What is the line item for new headwalls? Response: - Follow patching specifications on page 3. (6” GAB, 8” Class B Conc., 2” Top Coat) - 500-3800: Inlet and Outlet Headwalls. See GDOT STD 1125 as specified on page 8. 500-3900: Outlet Headwall. See GDOT STD 1001B as specified on page 8. - Utility plan not available. Question: WASHINGTON AVENUE - Will the area of work where the new 18” RCP is being placed be resurfaced or just patched? If not, where will the milling and asphalt items take place? - Will the drainage structure connecting the 18” CMP on station 14+00 be removed? If so, is there going to be a pay item for it or where does it need to be included? - Is the Class B Concrete Widening incidental to the new Curb & Gutter or where is it going to be placed?

Response: - Resurfacing and leveling are for the area shown on sheet 3. - 18” pipe crossing of Washington Ave to be removed as noted on plan sheet. There are no structures for this pipe. Cost included in grading complete. - For Patching of roadway as noted on sheet 3.

Question: MARION WAY - Will there be an item for traffic control, or does it need to be included under Washington Way? - Will there be an item for asphalt such as in Falcon court or is the asphalt used to patch the road incidental to the pipe? - Since many natural areas are being disturbed and there is a small creek, will any water monitoring be needed? Will any silt fence or other erosion control items be needed? - How far do we need to back fill with dirt where the manhole and the new 24” pipe is being built? - What is the required curb backfill width where the new curb is being built? - Is the Class B Concrete Widening incidental to the new Curb & Gutter or where is it going to be placed?

Response: - Marion Way is a low volume residential street. Must maintain 1 lane of traffic for emergency services. Include cost in Grading Complete for Marion Way - Only patch with Class B as noted on sheet 8. City will be repaving street in upcoming resurfacing project. - No. - Contractor to grass seed and mulch after construction.
