Description: Sealed PROPOSALS will be received by Okeechobee County Commissioners at the Okeechobee County Historic Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 123, Okeechobee, FL 34972 until 3:00 PM on Wednesday July 2nd, 2025. Bids will be received on the first floor, Room 123, and publicly opened in Room 201 and read aloud. Any BIDS received after the time specified will not be accepted.
Additional features include the construction of a concrete sidewalk approach to connect the new courts to an existing concrete walkway, installation of regulation-size basketball goals with heavy-duty bent posts and fiberglass fan-shaped backboards, and regulation striping for both courts. All materials furnished and all work performed shall be in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications and Bid Documents. The project will further require the installation of electrical connections and appropriate lighting to facilitate evening use, as well as a drainage system to manage water runoff effectively.
This project is part of a Standard State Grant Agreement, mandating compliance with specific grant terms and conditions throughout the planning, execution, and completion phases. The contractor shall comply with all federal, state and local regulations and will be responsible for ensuring all elements of the project meet applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and school zone regulations to deliver a safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing facility.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING shall be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday May 28, 2025, at the Okeechobee County Douglas Brown School, 826 NE 16th Avenue, Okeechobee, FL 34972. Bidder's attendance is mandatory. BIDS RECEIVED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The purpose of the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is to provide a site visit to the location.
