Description: The Town of Summerville (hereinafter referred to as “Town”) is seeking sealed bids for the construction of a stormwater detention pond along with other stormwater improvements at 106 and 112 Springview Lane.
Bid packages will be available beginning Wednesday, August 18, 2023 on the Town website (www.summervillesc.gov\rfp) under the Formal Sealed Bids/Proposals/Quotes menu. Sealed bids are due by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2023 and will be opened and publicly read in the 2nd floor training room at Summerville Town Hall Annex, located at 200 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Late bids will not be accepted, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Overview: SPRINGVIEW DRAINAGE
Addendum #1: Addendum contains changes to the bid schedule and a specification for the 200’ of privacy fence and clarification on disposal of unclassified material. The bid schedule changes include the addition of 18” RC Pipe, 200’ of 8’ privacy fence, and the addition of one Tideflex valve. All changes on the bid schedule and shown in red. 200’ Privacy Fence shall be eight feet tall. Fence shall be framed with 4”x4” treated posts eight feet apart on center. Posts may be set in concrete, but not required. Posts shall be a minimum of three feet below grade. Stringers made of treated 2x4 boards between posts and shall be a minimum of three stringers between each post equidistant apart. Fence shall use dogeared wooden pickets. Pickets shall be eight feet tall and nailed to stringers. The entire fence shall be treated with an opaque sealant to protect it from weathering.
Unclassified Excavation materials may be transported and dumped at the Town of Summerville Public Works Facility located at 1105 Yancey Street.
