Description: The Town of Gifford is soliciting bids from licensed inspectors to perform comprehensive asbestos inspections prior to the demolition of up to 8 privately owned vacant, dilapidated houses and/or commercial structures in the Town of Gifford, South Carolina. The houses are of moderate size, averaging less than 1,500 square feet, and are located within the town limits. We intend to have all the units inspected at one time in an effort to minimize travel expenses.  This work is part of a grant project funded by SC Department of Commerce. The firm must hold all applicable state and federal licenses to perform the testing as well as any necessary monitoring during the removal of asbestos. This work is being funded using CDBG grant funds. The firm must be or become registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) to be eligible for this project.
