Description: The Jones County Board of Education is requesting proposals from interested and qualified Construction Firms for the construction of the Jones County High School Renovations, Gray, Georgia. The proposed budget is $3,000,000. Construction work shall be coordinated with Jones County School District as directed by the school system’s owner’s representative following the competitive process. Most of the work is desired to be completed during the school’s summer break of 2024. Full completion of the project shall be no later than December 31, 2024. This district will be closed the week of April 1, 2024-April 5, 2024 for Spring Break.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: The MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in person at Jones County High School Gym located at 339 Railroad Street, Gray, GA 31032 on March 20, 2024, @ 11:00 AM. The Owner reserves the right to disqualify a proposer from the selection process due to a failure by a proposer to arrive for the conference by the scheduled start time. Failure to attend a mandatory conference will automatically result in disqualification from the selection process.

Response: 1. Document "20116 Project Manual _2side print (1).pdf", sections 00 20 13 through 00 22 13, relate to "Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals" and the associated required documents. Will this Project Manual be updated to reflect the current "Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide Construction Professional Services (CP)"? Disregard the sections 00 20 13 through 00 22 13 of the 20116 Project Manual _2side print (1).pdf. The RFP bound in the project manual was previously canceled. Project manual and drawings are for reference only to illustrate the gym and auditorium lighting portion of the scope. 2. Is there any information available on the press box? Is this a “prefab” type box to replace existing? The new pressbox is anticipated to be a manufactured unit. 3. How many months (construction duration) should we base our fees on? Approximately 6 to 9 months dependent on proposers anticipated schedule for the work identified in the RFP. 4. What is the anticipated construction start date? May 2024 or June 2024
