The
Troy Knight Building is a county-owned, judicial center in the Law Enforcement
Complex (LEC) located at 212 Deming Way, Summerville, SC 29483.
Dorchester County requests to have a single-ply roof membrane installed over
the existing tar and gravel roof. Other roofing options will be considered if
they are within budget and can give a 20-year warranty. Please see attached documents regarding specifications and bid instructions.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A mandatory pre-bid site visit will take place on Friday, November 09, 2018 at 11:30 AM. Bidders are asked to meet in front of the Troy Knight Building, located at 212 Deming Way, Summerville, SC 29483.

Overview: Core samples from the Carl Knight Building were not retained; however, the samples were recorded as a steel roof deck, asphalt-based vapor barrier, two inches of isocyanurate insulation and half an inch of fiberglass, and a gravel-surfaced BUR. The roof on the Troy Knight Building, which was built at the same time, should be composed of the same.
