Response: Roofing work, EIFS, and Metal Siding are considered a Limited Service Specialty Contractors and can contract directly with the owner, they do not have to hold a license as a residential of general contractor if they are performing work within their specialty. They cannot oversee and or subcontract any work to other specialty contractors. Bottom line for this project they will not need a GC license.
