Question 1

Posted: 10/28/2024

Question: I have a company based in Rio Rancho that offers a free system for students that just released our web app that you might want to take a look at since it represents 80-90% of your needs. And you would only have to rethink and redo that remaining percent of what you fully need, if you utilized it. In fact, you might change your mind about certain things such as your strategy for this endeavor in the RFP knowing that it exists, and is free. And requires no teacher training, cost to the students, and has even more features that enrich and lead to success of the student, and is available now. You might seek a different route on the remaining 10-15% that would be cheaper for you to develop or find and use that would be easier for a company to provide in tandem with this web app offering, which would be easier to acquire. Not to mention the cost of the process of finding the software that you describe and the time involved in vetting companies which would be negated, or made simpler. The web app I offer could be fully tested and vetted by the schools and offered to any school in New Mexico right now, scaled to any need in the state, and the remaining needs rethought and simplified, as working in tandem with my technology, resulting in saving time and money. In fact, you may realize that you do not want to do any more, the full needs of the RFP that I have read, after this testing period. A new, smaller request from the Schools could go out, as I mentioned, and be fulfilled. The full needs and scope of what the District needs may not be available for some time due to it’s complexity.

Response: See Addenda No. 1 for a response to this question.

All shall be required to pass the necessary background screening process in accordance to Rio Rancho School District policies and procedures.” There is not an Attachment G document in the RFP. Should we state on a document named Attachment G that we will comply with Rio Rancho Public Schools School Board Policies, Series 700, Policy 728A if selected? 4. Is there a proposed budget in mind for the project, and if so, can you share it? 5. What is the funding source for the RFP?
