Description: The Rio Rancho Public Schools is seeking design services to assist in the renovation of our newly acquired CTE Building. The building is located at 7001 Zenith Ct. NE in Rio Rancho, NM. This renovation will be supported through the elaboration of a Site Master Plan that assesses the existing conditions of the facility and its adequacy to implement new education programs and standards as established by RRPS Leadership and program staff. The CTE Building will ultimately be the location of a partnership between RRPS and the Central New Mexico Community College (CNM).

Question: NM Executive order 2006-001 requires the adoption of LEED Silver standards for the construction of Higher Education Buildings that exceed 15,000 SF or 50kW of peak electrical demand. Since LEED is no longer required on the CTE project(s), will teams be required to provide preliminary studies and narrative to demonstrate exemption from the executive order requirements to submit to the New Mexico Higher Education Department or will this be provided by CNM?
