Sealed bids for the Monroe Street – South 16^th to South 18^th (MR 639) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Suite 129, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MR 639 Project consists of 832 tons of hot mix asphalt, 2644 ft of PCC curb & gutter, 7468 sq ft PCC sidewalk, 827 sq yd of PCC driveways, 470 ft of 6 inch water main, 389 ft of storm sewers, and related improvements. 

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
