Okaloosa County is in the process of receiving two donated vessels, an 80ft and 75ft former scuba dive live aboard. These are being donated to the County by the owner John Dixon. I have attached a photo and surveys of the vessels for your review. Note that these vessels are not operational and must be towed. All components of these vessels that are removed during the cleaning and preparation process can be salvaged and retained by the selected contractor.
The County is requesting bids for the:
1) The transportation of the vessels from its current location in Port St Joe, Florida to the location it will be prepped;
2) The cleaning/preparation following standards outlined in the National Guidance: Best Management Practices for Preparing Vessels Intended to Create Artificial Reefs; and
3) The deployment of the vessels Approx. 20 nautical miles offshore Okaloosa County. Method of transport is up to the contractor. Deployment method is also up to the contractor.
