Description:

The Town of Hampton is soliciting bids from licensed inspectors to perform comprehensive asbestos inspections prior to the demolition of up to 3 privately owned vacant, dilapidated houses in the Town of Hampton, South Carolina. The houses are of moderate size, averaging less than 1,500 square feet, and are located in within the town limits. We intend to have all the units inspected at one time in an effort to minimize travel expenses.  This work is part of a grant project funded by SC Department of Commerce. The bidder must geographically be reasonably proximate to the sites.  The firm must hold all applicable state and federal licenses to perform the testing as well as any necessary monitoring during the removal of asbestos. This work is being funded using CDBG grant funds. The firm must be or become registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) to be eligible for this project. The inspections and report preparation must be performed in accordance with SC-DHEC Regulations and should include an abatement specification based on the findings of the testing as well as specs provided.
