The project consists of the streetscape and related improvements to the intersection of US-278 and Main Street (SC-63) / Hickory Hill Road (S-50) in downtown Varnville, SC. The work will consist of 2" milling and HMA paving, minor curb and gutter installation, new striping and pavement markings for the development of turn lanes, installation of new light poles, and landscaping. An alternate bid item includes additional sidewalk and curb and gutter work. No traffic signal improvements will be included in this project phase, and all improvements will be limited to the south side of the railroad.
