Question: Hi Ms. Watson, Is remote learning an option? If in-person, what type of technology is available to facilitate training? What is the term/ length of the program? What is the start date?
Response: Currently, the jail is accepting in-person only meetings. The in-person meetings will happen in the dorm classrooms. The capabilities of remote learning is unavailable at this time; however, the jail is making plans to alleviate this in the future. In regards to training, only the inmates who are eligible for Parenting will be engaged in this parenting program; training will determine on parenting curriculum being provided by the individual vendor. In the classroom, we have a wall mounted monitor, desks and chairs. The inmates do not have access in the classroom to laptops or computers. Timeframe, we are looking at beginning Late May to early June 2022 to end the last quarter of our fiscal calendar, which is September 30th, 2022.
