Question 1

Posted: 11/15/2023

Question: I am a local pre-packaged lift station supplier that the county does business with. I noticed that the 2 pumps accepted are Flygt and Wilo. Can I provide a selection from the pump manufacturer that we represent?

Response: We are good with them providing a selection from their pump manufacturer even if it is not Flygt of Wilo.

Question 2

Posted: 11/30/2023

Question: On sheet M-4.0 there are two vastly different design points called out In the “Pump Information” block with the Flygt pump you have 2500 @ 28’ In the “Design Conditions” block you have 800 @ 85’ (one pump) and 1050 @ 92’ (two pumps). What operation point governs here? What is the more critical operation of the station...normal flow pump (assumed meaning one pump) or duplex flow (assumed meaning two pumps together)? What is the static head condition(s)? Can the maximum motor HP be increased to 40HP? (due to motor HP being maxed out to meet duty point)

Response: Design Flow Condition is single pump, 800 GPM, 85 TDH. The pump motor should not exceed 40 HP. The current site voltage is 230V, 3Ph, 60 Hz. FPL may upgrade this to 480/277, 3Ph. A separate addendum will be submitted addressing the design impact if this change occurs.

Question 3

Posted: 12/1/2023

Question: I also am a local pre packaged lift station supplier that the county does business with. I would like to submit the Sulzer pumps as an or equal pump. What do I need to do to be pre approved?

Response: Vendor will also need to update to meet requirement per Addendum2 (480v, includes Closed loop Glycol Motor Cooling etc.) o Will need to provide impeller to meet 11145 Part 2.1.F.4.5 specifies 2 coats of ceramic coating. . Both impeller and volute shall receive two coats of ceramic coating of equivalent to the Belzona 1321 product. o Will need to provide information to satisfy the submersible pumping station wetwell and discharge piping ( Bid Sheet- #17 Base Bid Items #1-#3) o State whether their submitted pump can handle a 4” solid or not. o If vendor can provide these we have no objection to them submitting a bid.
