Question 5

Posted: 8/8/2024

Question: I've several points of confusion needing to be clarified, as well as questions. 1- in section 2.3 you state GENERAL - The proposer shall furnish all management, employment, supervision, equipment, tools, and other materials as required for performance under this Request for Proposal."; yet in section 2.4 you refer to section 6, which in 6.4 you state "THE FACILITIES WHERE WORK IS TO BE PERFORMED No on-site work will be performed, only delivery of the product." Please clarify in plane terms the exact request being asked for? As when I read the solicitation, its written like your requesting a full service IT/Network provider for the network equipment stated in section 6; to include the acquisition of the stated equipment, install of the equipment, and ongoing management/maintenance/repair of the equipment. So, are you needing >just< the equipment stated in section 6 or are you in need of a full service IT/Network provider? Again, please clarify. 2- in section 2.6 tab 1 you state "How long the proposer has been in business (Submit date organized)." please clarify why how long a business has been in business is required, if said business can show relevant experience, can provide the service/product, and all other stated requirements requested as required in tab 2 and 3 of the same section? 3- in section 2.6 tab 1 you state 'Submit the number of employees currently on the proposer’s payroll." yet in section 6.4 you state "no on-site work will be done, and ONLY delivery of the product", please clarify why the number of employees of a proposing business is required if "if no on-site work will be done, and only delivery of the product"? Also, what specific number of employees should a proposing business have on payroll to satisfy this requirement? 4- in section 2.8 you state "PROJECT COORDINATION - The proposer shall coordinate and schedule his staff to complete the project in conjunction with the school schedule." Please provide the "school schedule" and provide why this is a responsibility in that section 6.4 states "no on-site work will be done..."? 5- in section 2.8 under RULES FOR PROPOSER'S EMPLOYEES you state "There is a fee associated with the background check that is payable online at time of registration for fingerprinting of each applicant. The payment of this fee is the sole responsibility the contractor, consultant, vendor or the employing company. Any contract awarded pursuant to this solicitation is contingent upon compliance with this requirement and a satisfactory background check as determined by Whitfield County School System"; How much is the background check and fingerprint fee? 6- in section 2.9 #1 you state "Proposer must be licensed to do business in Whitfield County, Georgia"; is this to be presumed that only businesses that have a business license >in< Whitfield County will be considered for this solicitation? or is this work open to all qualified companies that are appropriately licensed in Georgia? 7- in section 6.3 .1, .2, and .3 sites have a delivery date that is the same as this solicitation close date of 8/30/2024; is this correct?

Response: 1- in section 2.3 you state GENERAL - The proposer shall furnish all management, employment, supervision, equipment, tools, and other materials as required for performance under this Request for Proposal."; yet in section 2.4 you refer to section 6, which in 6.4 you state "THE FACILITIES WHERE WORK IS TO BE PERFORMED No on-site work will be performed, only delivery of the product." Please clarify in plane terms the exact request being asked for? As when I read the solicitation, its written like your requesting a full service IT/Network provider for the network equipment stated in section 6; to include the acquisition of the stated equipment, install of the equipment, and ongoing management/maintenance/repair of the equipment. So, are you needing >just< the equipment stated in section 6 or are you in need of a full service IT/Network provider? Again, please clarify. Equipment only that is listed in section 6 2- in section 2.6 tab 1 you state "How long the proposer has been in business (Submit date organized)." please clarify why how long a business has been in business is required, if said business can show relevant experience, can provide the service/product, and all other stated requirements requested as required in tab 2 and 3 of the same section? State how long you have been in business 3- in section 2.6 tab 1 you state 'Submit the number of employees currently on the proposer’s payroll." yet in section 6.4 you state "no on-site work will be done, and ONLY delivery of the product", please clarify why the number of employees of a proposing business is required if "if no on-site work will be done, and only delivery of the product"? Also, what specific number of employees should a proposing business have on payroll to satisfy this requirement? This is a general requirement for our internal RFP process. If nothing is to be scheduled then you would not have to worry about this. This would not apply for this RFP. Whitfield County government does not require a business license, however, the company would be expected to be registered with the Secretary of State as well as the Department of Revenue as all businesses must. 7- in section 6.3 .1, .2, and .3 sites have a delivery date that is the same as this solicitation close date of 8/30/2024; is this correct? Already corrected in another question
