Question: What is the County’s current job evaluation system and is the County intending to change to another method?

Response: Currently, the county uses an internal Job Classification model and external market-pricing for evaluating jobs. We intend to continue this method. However, in stating that, we are looking for recommendations for implementing a hybrid approach for increasing employee salaries that would be inclusive of merit, longevity and COLA. As far as job evaluations, though, the desire is to continue using job classifications and reviewing external market-pricing.

Response: To ensure we are competitive with the market and our classifications/job descriptions are accurately reflective of employee’s job functions. By County Ordinance, we conduct these studies with the assistance of from an outside consultant every four years.

Question: What are your diversity goals? How are they measured?

Response: In regards to this RFP, we are committed to provide a fair and equitable pay range for classifications within the county that are marketable within our region. We conduct internal reviews every 2 years, and outsource the compensation and classification plan every 4 years.

Response: Most all of recruitment is done in-house. However, there are rare occasions that we may need to utilize a third party.

Question: Segal is striving to be as green as possible, and reduce our carbon footprint, therefore we wanted to inquire as to whether the County would allow consultants to submit proposals via Vendor Registry?

Response: Vendors are required to submit their proposals through Vendor Registry. It is stated in the solicitation. The County will not accept paper copies.
