Question: According to section 9 of the Special Conditions of the bid documents, “The cost for testing shall be paid by the Owner”. Is the item for “Materials Testing” on the bid schedule just for coordination of the testing and for materials that are brought to the project (IE. Asphalt/Concrete Mix Designs)?
Response: The bid schedule line item is for the contractor's coordination efforts with the materials testing/geotech firm to be hired by the Town.
