Question 1
Posted: 4/2/2024
Question: Heritage Primary - please confirm the limits of the remove and replace asphalt. I did not see any paint markings on the pavement. Does it end at the existing chain link fence or go past the modular shed? If past the shed, will the district move the shed prior to contractor mobilization?
Response: Past the shed and the district will move the shed. Should you need to walk and discuss this to get a closer understanding of the spec please contact Russell Blevins.

Question: Holt - are we to reuse the existing stop sign and simply install it on a new u-channel post in the new asphalt? Or does the sign need to be in a bollard for protection from damage from vehicle traffic?
Response: Please reuse the existing sign.
Question 4
Posted: 4/2/2024
Question: North Point Middle - is the track supposed to receive 6" of new asphalt per the New Asphalt Specification? In 2019, the gravel track at Frontier was paved with 2" of asphalt. 6" thick asphalt is unnecessary...2" or 3" max is suitable for pedestrian traffic. Does the new asphalt track need to be striped? If so, what markings are required?
Response: Track will need to be 2 inches, yes track will need to be striped.
Question 5
Posted: 4/2/2024
Question: Prairie View - asphalt curb is laid on top of new asphalt. Does the widened area need to be 36" wide to the face of the curb? If so, this will require a 42-44" widening depending on curb mold size. A 36" widened area with curb on top of the new asphalt (36" wide) will only yield a 28-30" widened area since the base of the curb is 6-8" wide depending on the mold used.
Response: Yes please widen to 42-44" so that the curb can be laid on the asphalt still allowing 36" of asphalt for bus lane to prevent them from rutting the grass and soil.

How do you want us to proceed? Also, there is no striping in the scope for this location. Are you wanting us to add striping onto this portion of the bid or leave it as is?
Response: District will make repairs to the retaining wall, No stripping leave as is.

(2) If you want the rock excavated, do you want 8 inches removed (to ensure 6 inches of rock and 2 inches of asphalt) or do you just want 2 inches removed? (3) What are the specifics on how you want the track striped? How many lanes? Do you want a painted finish line? If so, at how many meters?
