Description: SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The Jerry D. Mitchem Water Reclamation Facility (JDMWRF) treatment facility is a 1.0 MGD annual average daily flow (AADF) design capacity, membrane bio-reactor (MBR) process wastewater reclamation facility. The JDMWRF treatment facility includes a three (3) train MBR, each train with two (2) anoxic basins with a total 3-train combined 64,200-gallon capacity, each train with two (2) aeration basins with a total 3-train combined 180,000-gallon capacity; each train with two (2) membrane filters with a total 3-train combined 58,200-gallon. Currently, only two (2) MBR trains are in operation. The third train has been off line since commissioning of the facility due to flow limitations. Increased development in the franchise area is requiring Okaloosa County Water and Sewer (OCWS) to get the facility to full capacity. This entails preparing and getting the final third MBR train in operation. The MBR tanks are made of steel, and the third train, due to being off line for a number of years, needs corrosion repair on the interior and exterior walls.
