Question: Which spec over rides which. Does the Bid Sheet over ride the Written Spec or Vise Versa? On bid sheets are we bidding the All, Usage or the HC in the Excel Forms? 2.2 G Removal of Materials only. No removal of Brush, stumps, trees. City clears right of way. H. If there is not way to do the job with out damage can we note it upfront? Is the City doing their own locate since 811 does not do Private Property? Q. Do we include cost from fuel and employee time to pull permit?

Question: 2.4 Reads Semi-annual & annual on spec sheet, but Semi-annual on bid sheet? c. Change batteries on emergency vehicle operator. Can you be more specific. 2.5 A-B Specs read Black Vinyl. Bid sheet reads Black or Green Vinyl? Also Top Rail is not stated on the Bid Sheet or in this area on the spec sheet. H. PVC fence does not have Tension Wire. I. Timber does not use Tension Wires or Fittings. Specs on Trex Fence? M. Level existing grade. Does not require additional fill? O. 1. Can you be more specific on Framework. Post, Top Rail, Middle Rail, Bottom Rail, Braces? P. 2. Service Call is only after hours, weekends and holidays? It takes a lot of time to go to the site, measure the jobs and put the quote together. Service call should be included in all approved jobs.

Question: 2.3 E. Specify on Bid Sheet; 2 rail, 3 rail or 4 rail. Picture is of 3 rail with Finials. 1. a. Need specs on wall thickness on Post, Pickets, Rails. So we are all quoting the same. Residential, Commercial & Industrial? Warranty will only be on Commercial or Industrial. b. Specs on Powder Coating? d. Finials or Pressed Spears? Existing City sites have Pressed Spears. Finials cost much more and there are more then one style so it would need to be specified. 2.a. Contractor responsible for Final Grade before install? City should be responsible for this. Contractor should level around each post after setting. f. With Aluminum install you install panels as you are setting post so the post can not set for 24 hours due to this. j. Hot dipped galvanized gate hardware on Aluminum? Not aluminum?

Where are the specs & Exhibit III for Split Rail Fence at? 5. 45 degree angle on top of Barb Wire Fence? This can be done on Chain Link Fence, but Barb Wire?? d. Barb Arms are made for Chain Link Post but not for Wood Post. K. 2. Contractor should not be responsible for bringing in fill to fill holes. There could be multiple holes 2 plus feet deep.

Line 15: NEED MORE INFO> Can you explain please? 9 Gauge black vinyl is a residential (cost much less then 6 gauge) and 6 Gauge black vinyl is a commercial. So, are you wanting the 9 gauge on Black Vinyl or Galv? Both 9 gauge in black and galv is cheaper the 6 gauge black. You would need your heights to be able to do a “price change for 9 gauge”. C. Gates No 5’ or 6’ wide gates (commercial mowers will not go through a 4’ gate)? There is nothing on here for Pool Code Hardware on gates? Line 24-28 20’ wide would have to be double drive gates. D. Gates: Roll or Slide Line 29-38: These are all “Double Drive” not Roll/Slide Gates, does not use same hardware.

PVC Line 65-68: No Width for specs (4’, 5’, 6’, 10’ DD, ect)? Line 69: Green Vinyl top rail? Move to section A-B for chain link? THERE IS NO PRICE DIFFERENCE WITH BLACK AND GREEN VINYL. H. Timber & Trex fencing: Need more definition of Timber fencing. Trex is a composite material. If Timber is Pressure Treated wood you would need separate line items for pricing. They are not comparable at all in pricing.
