Description:

Beaufort County is interested in seeking the services of a Landscape Contractor to provide project oversight, supervision, inspection, materials & labor during the plant installation, maintenance and guarantee (warranty) of the landscape medians along sections of U.S. 278 east of the intersection of S.C. 170 in Southern Beaufort County.  The intent of this Solicitation is to inaugurate a Landscape Installation/Warranty/Maintenance Contract that will span a 1-year time period from the beginning to the end of the contract period.  The selected Landscape Contractor will supervise the during the installation, warranty and maintenance of the Crape Myrtles in selected sections of U.S. 278.  Beaufort County has obtained the necessary SCDOT Encroachment permit for this work; the encroachment permit will expire on February 24, 2020 and the work must be complete on or before the encroachment permit expiration date. The project limits are located in the Highway 278 medians between the Tanger 1 signalized entrance and extends westward to Westbury Park Way which is approximately three (3) miles in length.   A landscape irrigation system will not be available within the medians and will not be part of this contract; Landscape Contractor shall provide temporary watering devices and/or systems as needed throughout the duration of this contract. All payments for the work performed under this contract will run through selected Landscape Contractor.  The Beaufort County Community Development Department will be the final authority on the satisfactory implementation of the work performed under the Installation/Warranty/Maintenance Contract.  The following is a list of duties of the selected Landscape Contractor:
