Description: The Carlsbad Municipal Schools is accepting proposals for a cashless payment system. The District may issue multiple awards for this proposal if determined to be in the District’s best interest. This proposal may be renewed for up to three (3) additional school years, which begin on July 1, 20xx and end on June 30, 20xx. RFP renewals for each school year must be mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to July 1, 20xx of each subsequent year. Annual renewals are contingent on approval of the Board of Education.

Question: What is the district's intended go-live date for this new system?

Response: July 1st, or as soon as possible after that date.

Question: Will the district require this payment system to integrate with the software Food Services utilizes?

Response: The district prefers that the payment system integrate with all software the district utilizes, but will consider multiple options.

Question: Do we correctly assume that there is no requirement for recording cash or check payments made to the district through this system? All payments collected and reported must be made using electronic payments.

Response: The District would prefer all payments to be made electronically, however, the option to record cash or check payments would be beneficial.

Question: On page 15, can the District clarify “portable devices at select sites”? Is the District referring to specific hardware or smartphones? If specific hardware, please provide the make and model number of the device(s).

Response: Portable devices would be specific hardware the district could use to collect payments at various events, such as athletic events or fundraising events. We have not determined how many devices are needed at this time
