Question: When it comes to the mural, do you have a designated person to proceed with? Also, what finish does the wall need in case they are painting or pasting the mural?
Response: Owner to provide artwork for mural. Contractor to provide Level 4 finish, wall to receive Owner provided mural. Contractor to paint wall PT-4, at no additional cost, should Owner not install mural.

Question: When it comes to the South of Corridor 15V22, on AF101, it says the wall should have PT-2, but on A301.3, it asks for PT-5 on the wall. Which one should we use for that wall above the Wainscot?
Response: On AF101 – PT-2 is only at the inside face of wall. For finish of south wall in Corridor 15V22, per detail 3/A301, wall above wainscot to be PT-5. Also shown in this detail, the angled, inside face of wall is to be painted PT-2.On AF101 – PT-2 is only at the inside face of wall. Question: When it comes to paint coverage in the Catering Pantry, does it involve just the pantry area or does it include the hallway connection going North?
Response: Paint is to be provided in the entire corridor.

Response: Storage on-site will be limited to the area of work in Suite 1500.

Question: Can we put a dumpster on-site?
Response: READ solicitation documents carefully, including the Landlord’s Construction Rules & Regulations. If you need to place the dumpster on the street near the curb. You will need to apply for a permit to do so

Question: Will someone be removing the furniture out of the rooms?
Response: Yes, furniture will be remove by others except in conference rooms 15W15 & 15W12. The contractor will need to move the furniture around to replace the carpet in these rooms

Response: This is correct, only the freight elevator will be used by the contractor

Question: Should we put in an allowance for spray on fire protection?
Response: Sprayed fire resistive materials are to be provided for any new structural supports and for touch-up of any damaged areas during construction to match existing construction. Contractor to provide the required fire protection based on scope of work.

Please define the layout pattern for both CPT-1 & CPT-2.OPTIONS; monolithic, half lap, brick ashlar, basket weave, plank half lap, monolithic stepping, random or herringbone. 2. Please define the type of base (RB-1) should be. Tarkett / Johnsonite makes several types of rubber millwork, vinyl, & rubber cove or toeless. 3. Please define transitions at all doors going into existing spaces. 4. Can you please provide details of Loading dock elevator dimension (i.e. W x H Opening, WxDxH inside Elevator)? 5. Can you please clarify if the opening the door uses Floor Hinge or overhead? If Floor Hinges, what is the thickness of concrete slab? 6. Can you please clarify if regular clear glass or low iron glass should be used? 7. Can you please provide the color of hardware (i.e. Brushed Stainless , Matte Back)? 8. Please clarify if there are BMS controls for this project.
Response: 1. CPT-1 and CPT-2 should be installed in Brick Ashlar pattern. 2. Per Specification Section 09 6513 provide base style RB-1 per section 2.1.B.2 depending on the flooring material. 3. At new carpet to existing carpet, no transition strip to be provided. Contractor to install new carpet, cut clean and butt tight to existing carpet. Transition to occur at centerline of door when door is closed. At locations where marble rot stone sill is existing, sill to remain and new carpet to butt up to existing sill. At locations where transition to concrete, provide rubber reducer strip. 4. The Loading Dock can be seen and access from the side street. You should go to the building site to determine the loading dock dimensions. The freight elevator is similar size as all the passenger elevators. 5. It is not clear what door this is referencing. Refer to the specifications for all door hardware. 6. Contractor to provide low iron glass. 7. All door hardware finishes are to match existing building finishes. Refer to door schedule for door hardware finishes. 8. READ the solicitation documents carefully, including the Landlord’s Construction Rules & Regulations.
