Master Plan. The plan will support the marketing efforts of the City to increase tourism to the City of Columbia and improve overall utilization of public assets. A successful designed master plan will result in the three following outcomes.

1. Guide travelers from major gateways into and around the City of Columbia to various points of interest – public, private and commercial.

            a. Increase connectivity of community assets

            b. Develop a sense of place

            c. Increase awareness of the area

            d. Provide for identification destination attractions, landmarks, and districts

            e. Encourage tourism

2. Define a universal design standard for signage that is reflective of our community and consistent with the marketing goals of the City.

3. Provide signage design that is complaint with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and MUTCO standards.
