Description:

The City of Portales is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide and install equipment upgrades the current radio interface and address long term grounding solutions for the current communications tower and rack room at the Communications Center; located at the Law Enforcement Facility, 1700 N Boston, Portales, NM 88130.

The public safety radio communications system is a vital component of the Communications Center public safety efforts and supports communications with law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services throughout Roosevelt County, and therefore must be efficient, reliable, and expandable.

The general nature of the work is a three part project. Part one is the supply, delivery, and installation of a long term grounding solution for the 120 foot tower and connected rack room. The grounding must be a long term solution which strengthens against future electrical damage.  Part two is a replacement of electrically damage equipment and upgrade of out of date equipment.  Part three is an upgrade to the current radio interface used by Telecommunication Officers to interface with units in the field.

Offeror must be able to provide a schedule or process to address maintenance of the system and process for repairs when required.  They must provide an acceptable time frame to respond directly to the site when/if necessary with accompanying warranty options.
