Description: The City of Columbia is seeking bids from qualified firms to replace trees in the downtown area of the courthouse square.

LOCATION:
• West 7th Street from Garden Street to Public Square
• South Main Street from Pubic Square to East 8th Street
• North Main Street from Pubic Square to East 6th Street
• All of Public Square

DEMOLITION
• The City will cut all trees to the specified stump height by the vendor, and dispose of such materials. Vendor shall remove and dispose of all other materials including any remaining wood, excavated materials, etc.
• Trees shall be removed in a manner to not damage existing concrete including curbs, sidewalks, and pavers along with utilities or other infrastructure. Any damaged areas will be the responsibility of the vendor to repair via City approved methods.

REPLACEMENT
• All replacement trees shall be installed in the same location as removed trees. The new trees within the specified areas (approximately 58 trees) which shall be of equal varieties of Crimson Spire Oak and DannaSpire Columnar Elm trees.
• Each tree well area shall have a 4” layer of soil conditioner added and then be mulched with brown shredded hardwood and planted with Purple Leaf Wintercreeper on 12” inch centers.

WARRANTY
• Vendor shall guarantee work for one (1) year from completion of project for any dead materials
