Description: Sealed bids for Interstate Court Street Extension – Bid No.: 024-008 will be received by the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location.

The bracket estimate on this project is from $310,000.00 to $315,000.00. This bracket range is shown only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project’s complexity and size. This bracket should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The principal items of work are approximate as follows:  
Installation of 273 LF of 2-Lane Road, including 499 SY of Asphalt Paving, 236 SY of Asphalt Overlay, 673 LF of Curb & Gutter, and surrounding improvements containing the installation of 5' Sidewalk, Double 36" Storm Pipe Culvert, Double Wing Inlets, and Power Pole Relocation.

The entire project shall be completed in 90 calendar days.

To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Engineer. Bid documents (including drawings, plans, specifications and proposals) are available from MBA Engineers, Inc., 300 20th Street North Suite 100, Birmingham, Alabama 35203 or by contacting Tom Callison, P.E., tcallison@mbasei.com; or Vicki Owens vowens@mbasei.com. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids.


Nonresident bidders must accompany any written Bid Documents with a written opinion of an attorney at law licensed to practice law in such nonresident bidder’s state or domicile, as to the preferences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business entities whose principal places of business are in that state in the letting of any or all public contracts.

Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.
