Question 1

Question: Do any of these schools have summer school or other events that we have to schedule around?

Response: We chose the month of July to avoid Summer School. Summer school ends in June.

Question 2

Posted: 5/17/2024

Question: There are speed bumps at Central Middle and Southeast Middle. Is the contractor required to reinstall these speed bumps or are they being eliminated?

Response: Yes speed bumps need to be reinstalled.

Question 3

Posted: 5/17/2024

Question: Traffic signal loop detectors exist at the stop light at West Middle. This area is within the paving area as shown in the map found in the RFP. Is the contractor required to reinstall the loops or will the paving limits be adjusted to stop short of the loops?

Response: Anything disturbed will need to put back the way it currently is.

Question 4

Posted: 5/17/2024

Question: Multiple sites show evidence of failed pavement. These areas may not be suitable for an overlay after milling. This cannot be determined until milling is completed. How will you handle failed base pavement replacement? Via change order?

Response: Via change order

Question 5

Posted: 5/20/2024

Question: The asphalt curb on the existing roadway/parking lot at Central Middle school is in poor condition. Milling next to it will cause displacement of the curb. Who is responsible for replacing the curb if it is displaced or loose?

Response: Please give a price per linear foot for curb replacement in the event replacement is necessary.
