Sealed bids for the IL 96 / NORTH 24th SIDEWALK (MR 641) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Suite # 129, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 12th, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MR 641 Project consists of 2763 sq feet of PCC sidewalk, 155 sq yds of PCC driveway pavement, 31 ft of curb & gutter, segmental concrete block retaining wall, seeding, and related improvements.  Total length of the project is 0.075 miles.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
