Description: Purpose:
Okaloosa County, through the Destin Fort Walton Beach Convention Center (DFWBCC or County), is seeking temporary/day labor employment agencies to provide temporary employees on an as-needed basis. The County intends on selecting one or more agencies to provide non-exclusive temporary employment services.
Background:
Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners (County) has entered into several temporary employment agency contracts, however, the County has not been able to fulfill the needs of the DFWBCC facility via the County’s current active contracts. Temporary/day labor employment agencies are requested primarily at the DFWBCC to perform event setup/teardown (e.g. tables, chairs, staging, lighting), unarmed security (e.g. bag checks, crowd control), and janitorial tasks on an as needed basis for specific events. Number of temporary staff and hours of work will vary week to week. Since these services are obtained on an as-needed basis and there may be multiple contracts awarded, there is no guarantee of work.
