Description:

SPEC-1 SCOPE

1. This document is a formal Request for Bid (RFB) for soliciting qualified vendors that will provide and install classroom furniture in June of 2021 for North Point High School.
a. 2255 W. Meyer Road Wentzville MO 63385
2. Qualified vendor refers to a Manufacturer, Manufacturer’s Representative or a Dealer.
3. The selected vendor can use their own employees for installation or subcontract with an outside company.
4. If a subcontractor is used, payment of installation will be made to the awarded vendor, not the subcontractor.
5. Install is assembly and placement of furniture in classrooms. This does not require union or prevailing wage.
6. This is a large furniture order. It is the intent to recommend to the Board of Education an on-going relationship with the awarded vendor for future large projects (new schools) along with smaller projects such as starting to refurbish our current schools with more flexible and mobile products for the classrooms. The smooth delivery and installation will play a major impact on this recommendation.

Question: Can you please clarify whether you want performance bond or insurance Bond Also our company provides assembly and set up services so would there be a requirement for performance bond as to the best of our understanding it would cover the cost for paying sub contractors for assembly/installation service

Response: SPEC-5 (5.) 5% Insurance Bond of the total cost of the project. SPEC-6 (3.) The awarded vendor will submit Performance/Payment Bond as noted on the Excel Bis Spreadsheet.
