Question 1
Posted: 8/4/2021
Question: Given some service costs have increased since earlier submission, how can providers submit new rates for services previously submitted? DARS increased the rates for individual supported employment and group supported employment after our initial submission to Arlington County. How can we submit new rates for individual and group supported employment?
Response: For proposals already submitted, the cost proposal may be negotiated during negotiations.
Question 2
Posted: 7/28/2022
Question: Internet connection – how can we support those without internet access? Hotspot? Maintenance needed?
Response: Arlington County has free public wi-fi at various locations throughout the County. A full list can be found here: https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Topics/Wireless. These locations are open and accessible to the public.
Question 3
Posted: 8/9/2022
Question: Is a hybrid model allowed? For example, if attendance is missed from day support appointments, we can provide virtual day support to make up the time?
Response: A hybrid model could potentially be permitted; however, it cannot be used as an “as needed” service when a participant is absent from the in-person group day program. Any hybrid schedule needs to be approved by the County Project Officer. Additionally, the program should be equipped to provide a person-centered virtual service with details of the proposed service documented in the proposal.
Question 4
Posted: 8/15/2022
Question: Would there be a one-time rate or an Assistive technology waiver? How would we need to go about obtaining the equipment in order to participate in virtual support?
Response: The County cannot provide financial assistance for the infrastructure needed for virtual services. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary equipment needed to provide this level of service.
