Description:
a. The City of Goldsboro Parks & Recreation Department, Herman Park, Park House, located at 900 Park
Ave, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
b. The project consists of exterior work including pressure washing, replacing rotten siding, demolition and
replacing portions of the porch, reglazing and repairing windows, repairing rodent holes, replacing doors
and jams, caulking and painting the building, and interior work including replacing a circulation fan,
painting entire interior, installing LVP flooring and quarter round. The contractor will be responsible for
conducting the repairs in accordance with the scope of work provided.
2. EXTENT OF WORK
a. Provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work.
b. The contractor shall be fully knowledgeable of all requirements of the contract documents and shall make
themselves aware of all job site conditions that will affect their work.
c. The contractor shall confirm all given information and advise the building owner, prior to bid, of any
conflicts that will affect their cost proposal.
d. Project must be completed to the owner’s satisfaction, within sixty (60) calendar days after notice to
proceed. Work must be continuous until complete. Work will not be allowed on weekends and holidays
observed by the City of Goldsboro.
Pre-Bid Meeting Date: 10/21/2025 10:00 AM
Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the project location of 900 Park Ave, Goldsboro, NC 27530. b. Instructions to Bidders, the bid package and specifications will be reviewed with attendees and a tour of the project area within the facility will take place. c. Contractors with an interest in this project are encouraged but not required to attend the pre-bid meeting. Contractors will be responsible for all information discussed at this meeting.

Overview: After reviewing the responses, it was determined that all bids received greatly exceeded the funds available for the project, therefore the City shall reject all bids for this invitation. As this is a construction project in the informal bidding range, the bid pricing will not be released and shall be held in confidence. Staff are diligently working to prioritize the work required to best affect repairs and reduce the scope of the project. A second invitation for bids shall be distributed. we appreciate your interest and hope you participate in the next invitation.
