Description: The Black Creek Water Resource Development Project (“Project”) includes passive treatment of diverted surface water in lined earthen basins containing granular treatment media prior to discharge to Alligator Creek. The six treatment basins cover approximately 12 acres. The granular media will be furnished and delivered to the site by a media supplier under separate contract to the District. The project site is located within Camp Blanding, a 73,000-acre training center for Florida National Guard Units, in southwestern Clay County, Florida. Camp Blanding granted the District an easement for the work, which is located on the southwest side of Treat Road approximately one mile west of the intersection of Treat Road and State Road 21 (SR21) and 2.5 miles north of Keystone Heights, Clay County, Florida. The construction estimate range for this project and related work is $10,000,000 – $12,000,000.
