Question 1

Posted: 10/8/2020

Question: I did not see it posted is there a Mandatory pre bid meeting?

Response: No.

Question 2

Posted: 10/21/2020

Question: 1) Specification section 02170 2.1.4 calls for the use of a Romac Industries Restrained Flange Coupling Adapter when transitioning between PVC pipe and plug valves. This product would be used if a flange plug valve is installed. If MJ plug valves are used the Romac adapters are not necessary. Is the intent to install flange plug valves or will MJ plug valves be acceptable? 2) On the bid form, Item D.8 is 10" plug valve, quantity of 5. We have only been able to find 4 on the plans sheets. The plan sheet also shows 1 - 8" plug valve that is not listed on the bid form. Which is correct? 3) Specification section 02170 2.1.5 - fittings - general - calls for all fittings to be molded PVC C900 gasketed fittings. Dorchester County in the past has used MJ fittings with the TNEMEC P431 lining, restrained with mega lugs. Is the intent to use PVC molded fittings? If that is the intent, what is the desired method to restrain the PVC slip on gasketed fittings?

Response: These questions were answered in Addendum 2.
