Title: Uwharrie Pump Station and Force Main Improvements

Description:

The Project includes the installation of approximately 9,075 linear feet of 6” force main; the rehabilitation/upgrade of 1 sewer lift station and the decommissioning/abandonment of an existing 6” force main. The proposed force main route will run north along US 220 BUS for approximately 7,590 feet, then turn west and run for approximately 1,470 feet through Klaussner Industries Plant #3 site to an existing pump station owned and operated by the City of Asheboro. The project area runs along BUS-220 from Uwharrie Charter Schools to Klaussner Industries.

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Uwharrie Pump Station and Force Main Improvements will be received at the Randolph County Office Building, 1st Floor; Meeting Room A; Attn: Lisa Garner, Purchasing Officer; 725 McDowell Road, Asheboro, NC 27205 until 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The award of a contract under this solicitation will be paid with federal funding. Funding is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions of funding award. All Proposers and subcontractors used by Proposers shall comply with all applicable federal laws, state laws, state standards, local ordinances, regulations, executive orders, and the terms and conditions of the funding award.
The County encourages participation by small, minority, disabled, and woman-owned businesses.

An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on Tuesday, October 24, 2023--- 10:00 am ---- at Randolph County Office Building, 1st Floor, Meeting Room A, 725 McDowell Road, Asheboro, NC 27205. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms.
