Description:
The City of Woodstock,
Georgia, herein referred to as the City, is accepting bids from qualified
contractors for the purpose complete
construction of the North Main Street Streetscape project, hereinafter referred
to as the “PROJECT”. The work to be done
consists of the furnishing of all materials, labor and equipment for the complete construction of the project.
Work includes, but is not limited to, erosion control, maintenance of
traffic, grading, excavation, subgrade preparation, drainage construction,
concrete surface course, sidewalks, signs, pavement marking, landscaping and
grassing at locations indicated in the plan set. Utility work coordination will
be required as part of this project.
Contractor shall be required to use the one-call center telephone number
for the purpose of coordinatizing the marking of underground utilities. Available work hours shall be in accordance with City
ordinance; Shall conform to federal, state and local requirements and
regulations.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held November
17, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at the City Chambers located at 8534 Main St., Woodstock,
GA 30188. The meeting may include a site
visit.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held November 17, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at the City Chambers located at 8534 Main St., Woodstock, GA 30188. The meeting may include a site visit.

Response: The City does have this project budgeted in FY 2021. Unfortunately, disclosing it at this time could negatively impact the bid outcome therefore the City will not release it at this time.

Question: Can you clarify the unit for the pay line Item "900-0039 BRICK PAVERS (SIDEWALK) SF"? The bid schedule calls out 120 S, but per drawings, it will be around 120 SY
Response: The engineer says the number is correct at 1200 SF

Question: Where does the contractor need to include the price for the installation of the steel tree grate frame?
Response: An updated pricing sheet has been added to Addendum 2 which includes a line for tree grate installation.

Question: There is not a bid bond form in the bid document. Can the subcontractor use a standard form or can you provide us with one?
Response: The subcontractor can use a standard form for the bid bond.

Response: Yes as per page 6 of bid document. 5% of the total amount of the bid.

Response: The public opening is in-person only. However, the as-read bid tabulation will be posted no later than close of business on 12/02/2020.
