Description: This project provides a crew and equipment to assist the District’s South-Central Land Management Region based at 1364 Snowhill Road, Geneva, FL and the District’s West Land Management Region based at 10742 South County Road 325, Hawthorne, FL, in execution of prescribed fire, prescribed fire unit preparation, prescribed fire mop up, pre-burn vegetation management and wildfire response. The South-Central Land Management Region encompasses approximately 82,000 acres in Orange, Seminole, southern Volusia, and northern Brevard Counties (Exhibit A). The West Land Management Region encompasses approximately 35,000 acres in Alachua, Putnam and northern Marion Counties (Exhibit B). Respondent may bid on both regions or an individual region. The objective of this project is to increase the capabilities and flexibility of District staff to accomplish prescribed fire objectives as well as wildfire response. The awarded Agreement(s) will be for an initial three-year contract term, with the option to renew for two, 12- month terms. The estimated budget for these services for the current fiscal year (January 2023 – September 30, 2023) is $180,000.00 ($90,000 per region).
