Description:
The gizzard shad harvest from Lake Apopka and Lake George shall be monitored to document catches of gizzard shad and other fish species taken in commercial gill nets. Numbers and species of fish taken in observed gill net catches from the shad harvest as well as lengths and weights of shad and gamefish shall be recorded and reported to the District and FWC. Contractor shall utilize experimental gill nets to determine pre- and post-harvest period stocks of gizzard shad and other fish species in lakes Apopka, George and Yale.
