Sealed bids for the South 9th & South 8th - Harrison to Van Buren, Roadway, Water Main, and Sewer Improvements (MR 650) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Suite 129, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 14^th, 2021, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MR 650 Project consists of replacing the water main, reconstructing the streets, and sewer improvements from South 8^th to South 9^th on Harrison and Van Buren, from Harrison to Van Buren on South 8^th Street, and from Harrison to Jackson on South 9^th Street.  Total length of the project is 0.4 miles.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
