PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 

THIS PROJECT INVOLVES CONSTRUCTION OF MANHOLES, BORING AND INSTALLATION OF CASING AND 212 FEET OF 54” RCP STORMWATER PIPE UNDER CSXT RAILROAD, CONNECTING PROPOSED MANHOLES, AND OTHER ANCILLARY IMPROVEMENTS ON THE WEST SIDE OF MEMORIAL BLVD. WHICH WILL REPLACE A FAILED TUNNEL UNDER CSXT RAILROAD IN SPRINGFIELD.

A pre-bid meeting shall be held at 10:00 AM CST, Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the City of Springfield, Board Room, City Hall, 405 N. Main Street, Springfield, Tennessee.

PROPOSAL CONTRACTS WILL BE ISSUED UNTIL THE TIME SET FOR OPENING BIDS

 

A Prime Contractor must be appropriately licensed in the State of Tennessee for the amount and type of work required.  The City of Springfield hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex or disability in consideration for an award. No Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal has been set on this contract. However, the use of DBE or minority/women owned firms is encouraged.
