Question 1

Posted: 9/7/2023

Question: Due to most subcontractors being extremely busy, is it possible to extend the Bid Due date until October 24 or 27? This would allow the GC's to have more interest from subcontractors bidding on this project if they had a longer time to get their prices, which would help keep project cost lower if more subcontractors are interested.

Response: See addendum

Question 2

Posted: 9/27/2023

Question: Can you share with us a copy of the Pre- bid attendee list that was passed around on this bid. Thank you

Response: Check Vendor Registry for the list.

Question 3

Posted: 9/28/2023

Question: Other than the bid documents are there specifications based on divisions of construction for this project? The specifications in the bid documents only pertains to admin/front end general conditions. Thank you

Response: See addendum 2 and all supplements.

Question 4

Posted: 10/6/2023

Question: 1. Sheet C4.10 shows a concrete hammerhead at the end of the parking lot, which lays over the reinforced turf EMS Turnaround. This is the only plan sheet a concrete turnaround. Landscape doesn’t show this. Are we to include the porous concrete turnaround? 2. Sheet C4.10 states County is providing Parking Lot Light, but contractor to install. Are these direct burial or do they need concrete bases? 3. Detail S-26 on C6.20 doesn’t indicate depth of wetwell or provide any information on the size of the pump, floats, etc. Sheet C6.10 only gives the rim elevation and pipe inverts. Please provide more detail so the Grinder Pump Station can be quoted. 4. Sheet L102 states to add 4” top soil. Is this intended only for the low areas or are we supposed to strip 4” and add 4” top soil over the 113,000-sf area? 5. Is there an asbestos report for the structures to be demolished? If not, will one be required before demolish of structures? 6. Will the County pay all the Impact Fees associated with this project (BJWSA’s Water & Sewer Impact Fees and all County Impact Fees)? 7. Can you provide the BJWSA Summary sheet outlining all the fees associated with taps, meters, inspections, etc.? BJWSA should have provided this to the Civil Engineer at the completion of their review. This document also outlines the next steps needed to move forward with BJWSA pre-con. 8. The IFB states contractor is responsible for fees, licenses, etc, but it states all Beaufort County fees will be waived. Please verify this includes the Building Permit.

Response: See addendum 2 and all supplements.

Question 5

Posted: 10/6/2023

Question: Has the County decided on a particular date for all Contractors interested to walk the site; or will these be individual site visits? Please confirm.

Response: See Addendum 2 and contact Mark Sutton, project manager for site visit.

Question 6

Posted: 10/10/2023

Question: Can the Engineer provide the Palmetto Electric Cooperation conduit plan to determine our responsibility. There's no Electrical Site Plan and the Civil only shows an Overhead Line going to the Restroom Building. Where is the power source for the Pedestrian Entry Gate A (located at the emergency access gate) lights and gate operators?

Response: See addendum 2 and all supplementals.
