Description: The objective is to refurbish various walkways/platforms by replacing the existing wooden decking with composite decking (see attached pictures for additional information). General walkway dimensions are as follows:

Blue Cypress Water Management Area (BCWMA)
o S-251 East: Existing walkway is 24-feet long by x 3-feet wide
o S-251 West: Existing walkway is 24-feet long by x 3-feet wide
o L-77W: Existing walkway is 40-feet long by x 4-feet wide
Fort Drum Marsh Conservation Area (FDMCA)
o S-252D: Existing walkway is 60-feet long by x 4-feet wide with a 4-foot by 7-foot platform

The scope of work includes removal and disposal of all existing wood decking and hardware fasteners and reconstruct with composite decking. The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials. The support system for all four walkways is assumed to be in good condition and does not need to be replaced. The District will inspect all aspects of the substructure prior to new deck boards being installed, should any rotten supports be identified, costs to replace will be negotiated at that time.

There will be a non-mandatory site visit on December 6, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. We will meet at the Blue Cypress Recreation Area/512 Rec Pad, 3725 County Road 512. Fellsmere, FL 32948.
