Invitation is hereby made by Portage Public Schools to have qualified and licensed Asbestos Abatement bidders submit bid proposals for the removal of asbestos containing materials in North Middle School, Central Middle School and McCamley Field House, Portage Michigan. Sealed bid proposals for the above work must be received at the following location on or before the bid opening date and time:

Proposal will be opened publicly at the above noted location, date and time. Proposals received after the date and time set for receipt of bids as herein indicated will be returned unopened. The District reserve the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all bids, or accept any bid, when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will best serve the District’s interests. No bids received after this time will be accepted. The Board will not accept a bid proposal that does not include a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or an employee of the bidder and any employee of the Portage Public School District or member of the Board of Education. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part; to award contract to other than low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of Portage Public Schools.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Portage Central Middle School, 8305 South Westnedge Ave. Portage, MI 49002 on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The project specification will be available at the pre-bid meeting.
